Travel

There are 3 main options for traveling to De Uithof for our training weekends depending upon your start location and preference.

  1. By Ferry

Stena Line operate the ferry route from Harwich to Hoek van Holland.

Details of sailings can be found here.

This can be a very economical option if you wish to travel with a car and multiple people, taking the Friday night ferry crossing, arriving on the Saturday morning and the Sunday afternoon ferry back, arriving back in the UK on the Sunday evening.

This is a preferred option of many of UKLongtracks regulars.

Once the ferry lands in Hoek van Holland, its only a short 20 minute drive to the rink.

2. By Car / Eurotunnel

A preferred option of many of our southern England skaters, travel via the Eurotunnel can take three and half to four hours once in Calais.

3. By Air

Transport by air tends to be a preferred option for those further north with flight into Schipol available from most UK airports.

Once landed in Schipol, you can make use of the Netherlands public transport system, known for its quality, taking just over an hour to get the rink.
